In an act seemingly from the worst horror stories of a banana republic, the criminals we call our federal government have just put forward a law making it illegal, with a prison sentence of 10 years, if a middle class citizen covers their face from the cold during a protest against that very same government that the protesters would be trying to get rid of.
The excuse that they’ve come up with for this clearly politically motivated conflict of interest (obviously jailing their opponents would mean less votes for their opponents) is that the Stanley Cup riot prosecutions would have been helped by this law.
We can assure you without a shadow of a doubt that the first time we hear of this new ‘don’t cover your face’ law being applied will be as the result of a political protest not a criminal riot like the Stanley Cup riots. And it will be applied to middle class and below citizens not the wealthy 1% or gangsters and criminals with lengthy records.
Because 'ordinary Canadians' are the real target. Silencing the middle class whilst waging war on the middle class. And for some reason we’re allowing this to continue to go on.
