The Harper government appears to be testing the waters for a change in the name of our country as well as a possible new way of governance. A news release from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency sent out recently includes the phrase “Harper Canada” when referring to the name of this country.
It carried the all-caps headline: “HARPER CANADA INVESTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR MUNICIPALITY OF ARGYLE.”
No government spokesperson would confirm or deny if this was done in preparation for the eventual closure of parliament and the permanent siezure of the reins of power in this once proud nation.
